Find joy in business and life
and learn to put it first.

Success or joy?

Most of the kids are joyful by nature. Growing up we tend to put achieving our goals first, often neglecting how we feel on the way to them.

Our “have to” lists explode which takes an ever-increasing amount of attention and energy from us. Often it happens at the expense of “want to” activities that recharge our energy by giving real joy in the moment.

The desire to improve and achieve fuels our progress. This is a good thing. We just need to learn how to do it in a sustainable way that keeps our batteries charged and our lives enjoyed.

Joy is the most undervalued biological need

Humans evolved with a strong intrinsic need for joy. Surprisingly, our society treats joy as a luxury, nice-to-have desire that should be fulfilled only after reaching an ever-increasing list of goals. It encourages people to jump from one goal to another while joy is barely experienced briefly after achieving it. Such a joy-deprived life lowers well-being and negatively impacts energy, motivation and performance.

Feel joyful

Experience joy every day independent of external circumstances. Discover your power to break free from expectations, both your own and societal, and react gracefully to whatever life brings you.

Combine success and joy

Start to see non-intuitive connections between success, well-being and joy. Reveal how society programs us to pursue its goals and forget about our true desires. Decide knowingly what mix you want to have to make it a happy life.

Slowly change to more enjoyable life

You do not have to drop everything you are doing and turn your life upside-down. Gain clarity step-by-step, experiment with new ways to deal with problems on something non-strategic. See if this new way works well and then apply it to more important things in your life

  • Have you ever ask yourself why you want to achieve your goals?

  • You could take your answer and ask why you want to achive it? Keep going and after 3-5 whys you might end up with the actual reason.

  • Would you like to share it using Ask question form?

Does it sound familiar?

  • You were once excited about your goals and challenges. However, somewhere along the way, you lost that feeling.

  • It is easy to overspend your (mental) energy on “have to do” items while “love to do” items, that bring energy, often get neglected. The art is to balance them.

  • Exceptional honesty with yourself is needed to clearly understand why it is happening and how to solve it.

  • Everyone want to be happy. Yet, different people put different meaning and content in the concept of happiness. Understanding which of them are healthy and which may bring happiness father from your reach is a first step to enjoy it in your life.

  • While planning the future and healthy analysis of the past help to navigate the complex modern world, life is happening here and now. Our ability to focus our attention on the present moment leads to more vivid and fulfilling life and allows noticing new opportunities.

“Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day.”
